Moritz von Oswald has returned with a new solo album Silencio, a deep meditation on the dialogue between vocal and synthesised sound from the outright legendary producer and half of the indelible Basic Channel/Maurizio/Rhythm & Sound duo with Mark Ernestus

In many ways Silencio can be seen as a return to the very roots of those projects with Moritz laying down the formative compositions on classic synthesisers

These recordings were then transcribed and performed by the 16-voice Berlin choir, Vocalconsort in Ölberg church in the city’s Kreuzberg district
