The Buddha Machine is a small music loop player. The name and concept of the object derive from a similar Chinese music player that chanted loops of Buddhist melodies; this device was discovered by Christiaan Virant in a temple, and he decided to adapt it to his own production of music based on sound loops.
It plays continuously one of the nine ambient sound loops it contains, lasting from 5 to 40 seconds.
